Eileen passed away in January 2024, leaving a Will that directed her Trustees to provide an annual art award and annual environmental studies scholarship.
Dr Eileen Fair was a scientist, traveller, dancer, actor, businesswoman, and self-taught property developer. Her projects can be seen all over Palmerston North, New Zealand.
Fair Trust Art Prize
The Fair Trust Art Prize is a national art prize of $40,000.
The aim of the Prize is to support a flourishing contemporary arts scene by bringing top artists from across Aotearoa New Zealand to Manawatū.

The Eileen Fair Charitable Trust aims to inspire and empower communities through the arts and environmental studies.
Environmental Studies
The Dr Eileen Fair Master’s Scholarship has been created to support and encourage people connected to Manawatū to complete postgraduate studies related to the environment.
This $40,000 (inclusive of tuition fees) scholarship is tenable for one year.
